The Republican Debate was conducted at the Reagan Library tonight, and they flew into Burbank Airport this afternoon for the event. Romney was first, then McCain and Giuliani arrived a short time later. Below are the arrivals and HERE are more pictures of the event. Interestingly, Romney parked away and out of sight from McCain and Giuliani.

Consider me an expressive grandfather, father, husband, son, and friend. Although I'm an Air Traffic Controller by trade, I enjoy research, good stories, motorcycle riding, family/friend fun, sushi, and the Anaheim Angels (or is it the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?). Theologically speaking, I'm a Christian who considers God to be sovereign, balanced, just, and rational. Thus a proper study of the Bible (objective, contextual, historical, and logical) reveals absolute truth to worship and live b

Training
We have 9 new trainees at Burbank Tower with only 12 controllers. Since Reagan fired all the controllers back in 1981, all of us controllers that are up for retirement are leaving and training the new generation. Here is what it looks like on “Black Friday” (one of the trainees wears black on Fridays so we all joined in).

Rose Bowl Flights
The Rose Bowl Game and Parade started with Hornet Jets over-flying the event. They flew into Burbank Airport the night before and took off nice and early for the parade. They were quite loud and exciting to watch. Please excuse the cellphone resolution...
They took off...
Then circled northwest of the Rose Bowl for about 10 minutes waiting for the event. Their call-sign was Raider51 (upper part of the radar screen). You can see the Rose Bowl at the right end of the picture.
Then they landed:
Then they parked. You can see the Coast Guard C130 that delivered the parachuters over the Bowl on the left:
